Renatta & Go wanted a more focused in-store atmosphere, but the boutique's open storefront left it exposed to the constant noise of a busy shopping centre, the kind of ambient hum and foot traffic that makes it hard for a small space to feel calm. The store needed a simple way to mask that noise without a major installation.
An open storefront is good for visibility and bad for acoustic control. Mall noise flows straight into the boutique with nothing to stop it, undermining the calm, focused experience Renatta & Go wanted to offer customers browsing inside. The fix needed to work with minimal equipment, given the store's compact size.
Two Omni Track speakers were installed, their 360-degree coverage creating a consistent sound field across the store. Rather than trying to block out the mall noise, the even layer of in-store sound works the way sound masking is designed to: it shifts customer attention toward the closer, more relevant sound, making the ambient noise from outside far less noticeable. A single Stream unit runs the whole system.
Customers now experience a noticeably calmer environment inside the boutique, despite the open storefront and the mall noise just outside it. Staff have a reliable system that's simple to operate, with no daily adjustment required to keep the effect consistent.
For small-format retail in shared spaces like malls, Renatta & Go shows that solving an acoustic problem doesn't always require a big system. Two speakers, placed well, were enough to change how the entire store feels.
